Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot

Grades: Divisions will be divided by grades PK/K, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
(Boys & Girls Divisions in each)
Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot is a free throw contest where one child and one parent/guardian shoot free throws. Each team will be put into a grade division (based on the child’s grade). Each player shoots 10 free throws each to have a combined total. Adults can shoot with more than one child. The top team in each division will win a turkey! (One turkey per family) This is a great way to hang out with the family and have some FUN competing against your neighbors and friends!
Outdoor Adventure Field Trips
Ski/Snowboard Trips - Cascade Mountain (Portage, WI)
The Cottage Grove and Monona Parks & Rec. Department’s have teamed up to offer Ski/Snowboard trips this Winter. More details will be available on each city’s website!
TRIP #1 Monday, January 18—NO SCHOOL DAY
TRIP #2 Friday, February 26—NO SCHOOL DAY
9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Bus departs from Glacial Drumlin at 9:00am sharp)
Grades: 5th - 8th Grade
Cost: $45 each trip (includes lift ticket, equipment rental, and lunch)
Water Park Trip—Kalahari Resort (Wisconsin Dells)
Thursday, April 1, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (Bus departs from GD School at 9:00am sharp)
Grades: 2nd - 8th Grade
Cost: $45 CG resident (includes 2 slices of pizza and 1 soda)
Surf it up with Monona & Cottage Grove REC Depts. on an all day field trip to Wisconsin's Largest Indoor Waterpark. Surf or boogie board on the FlowRider®! We will return to GD School at 5:30 p.m. Make sure to bring your swimsuit, beach towel and flip flops/sandals, and extra money to get a locker to put your backpack in or for concessions.

Looking for something to do on your early release from school?? Sign-up and learn to play some football from the Silver Eagle High School Football Team. All phases of the game will be covered from throwing, catching, and defense. The camp will take place on Tuesday, September 22nd from 1-3 p.m. at the Monona Grove High School Football Field. Little Eagles Basketball League
Place: Monona Grove High School Gym
Ages: 5th & 6th Grade
Dates: Nov. 8, 15, 21, Dec. 6, 13
The league will offer fundamental skills as well as game play. Different skills will be taught each week with the last week being a contest day. Each boy will be placed on a team coached by a Monona Grove Varsity Boys Basketball Player. Registrations available at Parks and Recreation office, Glacial Drumlin School or contact Dan Zweifel at 839-8362 for more information.
